The Arrest of Imran Khan and Failure of the Nation The prevailing situation has compelled me to pen down my thoughts. It is pretty heartbreaking to see how the events have unfolded since yesterday after the brutal arrest of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman of PTI and the one-man army, Imran Khan. We as a nation failed to protect our beleaguered leader as the heavy contingent of Rangers crossed the red line while miserably arresting Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court. We as a nation failed to uphold the dignity and honour of our state institutions as the public resorted to pelting stones, dilapidating the property and setting houses on fire. We as a nation failed to differentiate between right and wrong, moral and immoral, peace and chaos, justice and injustice. We merely live in a world of delusions and fantasies where emotions cloud our intellect.
